A bollard was pulled off the deck plating while the vessel was under tow while departing from berth at the port of Vancouver.  

It was found that the existing deck construction could not provide the specified working load strength.  Repair and remediation done for port and starboard bollards.

The damaged bollard had to be removed and deck plating replaced.

Stiffeners were enhanced in order to bring the working load up to spec.

All work carried out under classification society's supervision.
